What inspection cycle actually means.

After permit issuance, construction proceeds through a series of inspections at specific milestones. The typical residential cycle includes foundation (slab or footings), framing (after structure is up, before drywall), MEP rough-in (mechanical/electrical/plumbing), insulation, drywall, and final. Each inspection must pass before the next stage can proceed. Failed inspections require correction and re-inspection.
